Award for Personal Licence Holders

This qualification is accredited by the Highfield Awarding Body and meets the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must be 18 years or over and be able to produce suitable identification prior to sitting the exam.

Who is the course for?

When applying for a Personal Licence from your local council you need to have an accredited licensing qualification. Anyone involved in the retail sale of alcohol or who is authorising the sale of alcohol are required to have such a qualification.  The Award for Personal Licence Holders meets that requirement and so forms an essential part of the application for a personal licence.

How will I be tested?

This is a one day course (7 learning hours) when taught in class concluding with an external exam.  The pass rate is 28/40 multiple choice questions.  N.B.  All candidates must provide suitable identification prior to sitting the exam.
